Preparation:

Boil 1 tablespoon of osierwith 1 glass of boiling water in a covered container, leave for 10-15 minutes and drain before use.

Historical data:

After Hippocrates and the Roman period we find the vitex again in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Many Renaissance herbalists prescribed vitex for spleen and liver problems for insanity, insanity and epilepsy while in combination with the floss it was given to women with menstrual problems and infertility. In 1930 in Germany Dr. Gerhard Madaus conducts the first scientific research on the healing properties of vitex in the female hormonal system and prepares a formulation from the extract of dried vitex fruits. This preparation has since been used in all vitex research and so it was found that vitex fruits have 1.3-1.6% essential oil, 22% sabinene (natural monoterpene), 1,8-cineole, 6% α-Pinene, flavonoids, iridoid glycosides. Vitex fruit essential oil also has antibacterial action. Later in 2001, a study was conducted in Germany on a sample of 1,542 women, in which this sample of women diagnosed with premenstrual syndrome was given  vitex extract for an average of about 170 days. The result showed that 90% of women confirmed the remission of symptoms.
