Flaxseeds can also be consumed raw, at a dose of 1-2 tablespoons, mixed with apple juice, salads, or yogurt, throughout the day, or in the evening before sleep to combat constipation.
For kidney stones, use 1-2 tablespoons of crushed seeds, which are steeped in boiling water and then strained before use. Drink ½ glass, diluted in pre-boiled water, every 2 hours for 2 days.
For external use, ground seeds are soaked in warm water (2 tablespoons in 1 glass of water) and boiled (1-2 minutes) until the mixture turns into a paste. This paste is wrapped in gauze and applied to wounds or various skin inflammations as a softening and anti-inflammatory treatment.
