Cumin, whose name has Eastern origins, is a spice known since ancient times.

In cooking, the seeds are always used crushed, added just before the food is finished. It is a key ingredient in curry and chutney sauces and plays an important role in many cuisines, such as Asian, African, and Latin American. It adds a wonderful flavor to meats (like liver, chicken, meatballs, and patties) and is widely used in salads, pairing well with potatoes.
