The Mallow tincture is derived from soaking the flowers of the mallow (Malva sylvestris) in an alcoholic solution (grappa) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the plant dissolve into the alcoholic solution, resulting in the tincture.
The Mallow tincture contains the same active ingredients as the dried mallow herb. In modern herbal medicine, mallow is used in two ways. The Mallow tincture is considered effective for stomach disorders accompanied by constipation. Mallow is believed to have a mild laxative effect, detoxifies, helps with allergic cough, and soothes the gastrointestinal system. Externally, mallow is used as a poultice or lotion for treating skin inflammations, such as pimples, "calluses," rashes, and corns.
Herbal tinctures preserve all the active ingredients of the herb, are particularly easy to take, and are completely natural. They undoubtedly surpass dietary supplements in pill form, as they do not contain chemicals or preservatives and are absorbed much more effectively by the body.
Herbal tinctures are highly potent, and therefore should be taken according to the instructions. The usual dosage is 0.5-1ml (approximately 10-20 drops per day). They should not be consumed during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
The Mallow tincture is prepared in Greece under the strictest European standards, using exclusively pure and tested raw materials.
