The tincture blend for headaches and migraines is made by soaking the aforementioned herbs in an alcoholic solution (grappa) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the herbs dissolve into the alcoholic solution, resulting in the tincture.
Headaches and migraines have become an "epidemic." According to recent statistics, the number of people suffering from chronic migraines exceeds 300 million worldwide. Only 1% of the population will not experience headaches or migraines (at least for some period) during their lives. The causes of headaches and migraines are numerous. High blood pressure, stress, "intolerance" to chemicals, and vision problems are just some of the reasons.
Head Relief naturally supports the body in its effort to reduce and manage headaches and migraines. It contains St. John's Wort, Lavender, Ginkgo Biloba, and Valerian.
St. John's Wort is considered a tonic for the nervous system, an antidepressant, and effective against migraines and headaches of a nervous or cyclothymic nature. It is generally regarded as one of the best herbs for addressing nervous disorders, including nervous exhaustion and stress. Valerian is primarily used to alleviate neuropressure (and related problems) but is also effective for a range of health issues. This herb is believed to positively impact high blood pressure and chronic headaches, as well as sudden dizziness—conditions that often "accompany" hypertension (and sudden tachycardia). Lavender, in addition to its beneficial properties for migraines and headaches, acts on the nervous system and can effectively help with mild depression and sleep disturbances. Lastly, Ginkgo Biloba alleviates headaches caused by poor circulation while dilating blood vessels and improving metabolism and brain function.
Herbal tinctures retain all the active ingredients of the herbs, are particularly simple to take, and are completely natural. They undoubtedly have advantages over dietary supplements in pill form, as they do not contain chemicals or preservatives and are absorbed much more effectively by the body.
Herbal tinctures are highly potent, and therefore must be consumed according to their guidelines. The usual dosage is 0.5-1ml (approximately 10-20 drops per day). They should not be consumed during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
