The Chamomile tincture is obtained by soaking the above-ground parts of chamomile in an alcoholic solution (grappa) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the herb dissolve into the alcoholic solution, resulting in the tincture.
Chamomile is a pure and well-known herb. The natural drops of chamomile have strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, effectively combating viruses and bacteria. These characteristics are primarily found in the flowers of chamomile, which is why they are extracted in ethyl alcohol, delivering all their beneficial properties to the body. The chamomile tincture helps reduce skin conditions and the appearance of rashes. According to the Committee E and ESCOP, chamomile tincture is suitable for mucous membrane inflammations, stomatitis, and skin diseases caused by bacteria. Additionally, chamomile tincture has calming and mild sedative properties, and it acts as a muscle relaxant for abdominal pain. The antispasmodic action of the tincture is the reason it alleviates gastrointestinal discomfort and menstrual pain.
