Mountain Tea tincture comes from immersingthe earthly partof mountain tea in an alcoholic solution (grappa), for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the above herbs are dissolved in the alcoholic solution resulting in the formation of the tincture. 

Mountain Tea is a famous and special herb that offers beneficial properties to the body. Similarly, Mountain Tea in tincture is an extract of the herb in ethyl alcohol. More specifically, according to the European Medicine Agency, Mountain Tea tincture soothes coughs caused by colds as well as relieves mild gastrointestinal problems. In addition, laboratory studies confirm that tea ingredients are highly effective. For example, flavonoids, diterpenes, phenylpropanes, iridoids and monoterpenes are substances that inhibit the reuptake of serotonin and norandrenaline, thus acting as an antidepressant. Various studies support the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and analgesic effects of these substances. Similarly, studies from the Universities of Patras and Ioannina showed that the decoction of Mountain Tea and consequently the tincture has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anxiolytic properties. In addition, a study by the University of Athens found that it can help prevent osteoporosis because it protects the loss of bone density and enhances bone strength. Finally, it has a beneficial effect on colds and inflammations of the immune system. 

Tinctures retain all the active ingredients of the herb, are very simple to take and completely natural. They are undoubtedly superior to dietary supplements in pill form, as they do not contain chemicals and preservatives and are absorbed much more efficiently by the body.

Herbal tinctures are very effective and therefore should be consumed according to their instructions. The usual dosage is 0.5-1ml (about 10-20 drops per day). They should not be consumed during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
