The Garlic tincture is derived from soaking garlic cloves in an alcoholic solution (grappa) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the garlic dissolve into the alcoholic solution, resulting in the tincture.
The Garlic Tincture (Allium sativum) comes from the well-known bulb. Renowned since ancient times, garlic is "famous" for its remarkable properties. In modern herbal medicine, garlic tincture is primarily used to address heart conditions.
Garlic is believed to help reduce cholesterol levels, high blood pressure, and regulate blood sugar levels. In recent decades, countless studies have been conducted on the effectiveness of garlic, many of which have shown conflicting results. It is suggested that garlic's ability to lower cholesterol levels is due to the metabolism of polysulfides into hydrogen sulfide within red blood cells. Research has also indicated that consuming garlic extract may reduce systolic blood pressure. Therefore, it can be combined with the HTN (Hypertension Blend) herbal mixture.
In addition to the aforementioned benefits, garlic is thought to possess antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Many herbalists recommend it for treating colds and stomach disorders.
Herbal tinctures preserve all the active ingredients of the herb, are particularly easy to take, and are completely natural. They undoubtedly surpass dietary supplements in pill form, as they do not contain chemicals or preservatives and are absorbed much more effectively by the body.
Herbal tinctures are highly potent, and therefore should be taken according to the instructions. The usual dosage is 0.5-1ml (approximately 10-20 drops per day). They should not be consumed during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
