The Propolis tincture is derived from immersing pure propolis in an alcoholic solution (grappa) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the propolis dissolve into the alcoholic solution, resulting in the creation of the tincture.
The Propolis Tincture comes from the processing of propolis, the resinous substance with which bees seal, insulate, and disinfect the interior of the hive.
This substance contains numerous components, but is primarily made up of resins, wax, essential oils, and pollen. Propolis is known for its antibacterial, antifungal, antibiotic, and antiseptic properties. For this reason, it is used in traditional medicine as an immune system booster. Propolis is often referred to as "nature's antibiotic." It aids in healing allergies, eye diseases and inflammations, pharyngitis, prostate issues, gynecological conditions (such as acute vaginitis), eczema, and skin diseases.
In recent decades, hundreds of studies have been conducted on the effects of Propolis on the human body. Evidence suggests that the consumption and local application of Propolis can positively affect a wide range of ailments. It appears to be particularly effective in cases of oral cavity diseases (gingivitis, stomatitis, etc.), respiratory infections (asthma & chronic pneumonia), stomach ulcers, influenza and colds, otitis, and generally against mycoses and viruses.
Overall, Propolis is considered by many to be a truly "miraculous" substance that contributes to the "fortification" of the body.
The Propolis tincture is very potent and should be consumed according to the instructions. The usual dosage is 0.25-0.50ml (approximately 5-10 drops per day). It should not be consumed during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The Propolis tincture is prepared in Greece under the strictest European standards, using only pure and verified raw materials.
