Argan Oil (Argania Spinosa) BIO is one of the best oils for the care and hydration of the face and neck (considered suitable for all skin types). The tree that produces it (a living fossil of the Quaternary period) has remained unchanged for the last 1.6 million years. It thrives in only a handful of areas in southeastern Morocco, where it is a real "treasure" for the local economy. Argan tree is protected by Unesco as a world cultural treasure - as the area in which it thrives (once covering the whole of North Africa) is constantly shrinking. Argan Oil is considered one of the rarest (and most expensive) oils as it requires the processing of 100 kg of dried fruit (production of 6-8 trees) and 8-10 hours of hard work to produce 1 to 1.2 liters of oil. All stages of the work are done by a cooperative of Moroccan women, who transmitted the processing from generation to generation, keeping the technique unchanged to this day. 

Modern long-term research has revealed the benefits of the ingredients of Argan Oil in the human body: It contains 80% monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, Omega-9 and 6, as well as a significant percentage of linoleic acid, an unsaturated fatty acid that acts as a waterproofing agent,creating a barrier of protection and maintaining its elasticity.This is why it is considered one of the best oils to fight psoriasis. It also contains carotenoids, terpenoids, polyphenols and tocopherols, all powerful antioxidants against free radicals - which are responsible for skin aging. Thanks to the high content of Argan in vitamin E, it is by far the most moisturizing, nourishing, anti-wrinkle and anti-aging oil. It is ideal for broken and brittle nails, for damaged hair or for dandruff hair. Argan Palmitic, Stearic, Oleic Acids and Phytosterols have anti-inflammatory action and have a healing effect on the skin tissue. In addition, it contains squalene, a unique and rare ingredient against skin cancer.

Thanks to the high content of vitamin E, argan oil protects the skin from harmful, environmental effects and skin aging. Argan Oil makes dry and damaged skin smoother and helps with neurodermatitis, itching and irritated skin. At the same time, it works as a light sunscreen. The antioxidants it contains protect the skin from premature aging, strengthen and clean the connective tissue. 

Argan Oil BIO is used either alone or in combination with other base oils for even better results. Finally, it is important to know that base oils are essential in aromatherapy in order to be the "carrier" to which the essential oils will be added.
