Oregano BIO is the common name of the plant Oreganum Onites. Oregano essential oil comes from steam distillation of the leaves of this plant which is different from common oregano. It has a strong aroma and is often called oregano oil. Oregano essential oil contains the substances carvacol and thymol which give it a germicidal action.
Oregano essential oil BIO is used in aromatherapy mainly to fight respiratory problems such as asthma, bronchitis and cough but also to fight diabetes (2-3 drops of the essential oil in a drink of wormwood, teucrium, chaste tree, hibiscus, stevia, ginger etc. or even in water). It is also known for its strong antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal and antiparasitic action. If we introduce it in some base oil (such as ippophaes, wild rose, jojoba, argan, etc.) it helps with psoriasis problems.
Oregano essential oil BIO is very well combined with : Thyme, Eucalyptus, Lavender, Pine & Tea Tree.
