Ravensara (Ravensara) The scientific name Ravensara Aromatica, or Madagascar hovozo (Madagascar Aromatic Tree), is a tree of the Lauraceae family, native to Japan, Taiwan, Madagascar, Mauritius and Réunionwhich reaches a height of 20 meters, with many roots at the base, reddish bark intensely aromatic, simple elliptical leaves, with a green upper surface and small green flowers. 

Ravensara essential oil is derived from the steam distillation of the plant's leaves and is usually translucent with a sweet, earthy anise and mint scent. The main molecules of its chemotypic composition are: limonene, savinene, myrcene, linalool and 1.8 cineole., Substances with significant antibacterial, antiviral, expectorant, immunostimulatory, neurotonic and rejuvenating properties. 

Ravensara essential oil is particularly effective in treating upper respiratory tract problems such as bronchitis, sinusitis, rhinopharyngitis,, but also more serious ailments such as whooping cough or tuberculosis,  while it is also recommended as a very good antibiotic against the flu.It is also ideal for fighting viral infections such as herpes, shingles, infectious mononucleosis and hepatitis, while it is also considered as an excellent tonic, as it rejuvenates the body from physical and nervous fatigue, relieves anxiety and stress. while also relieving depression. Finally, due to its muscle relaxant and analgesic action, it soothes headaches, while significantly relieving myalgias, cramps and pain of rheumatoid arthritis.

Ravensara essential oil is very well combined with :Clove, Eucalyptus, Lavender, Rosemary, Cajeput, Lemongrass.
