Cumin (Cumin Seed) is derived from the plant commonly known as Cuminum cyminum. The essential oil of Cumin is obtained through steam distillation of the seeds and has a distinctive penetrating spicy aroma.

The essential oil of Cumin is used in aromatherapy as a revitalizing, aphrodisiac, analgesic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, detoxifying, and fat-burning agent for arthritic and muscular pains, migraines, colds, and stress.
