Organic vanilla essential oil is an extract from vanilla bourbon pods, using ultrasound extraction.
Organic vanilla essential oil is a brown liquid with the characteristic flavor of vanilla. It has a high content of nutrients such as vitamins A, C, E, D & B3, as well as potassium, phosphorus, and magnesium.
Organic vanilla essential oil is used in both cosmetics and food. In cosmetics, due to its strong sweet pleasant aroma, and in cooking & pastry, as it adds flavor and scent. Additionally, it is used in aromatherapy for nervousness, insomnia, stress, tension, and depression. It is believed to induce a pleasant feeling of well-being similar to chocolate consumption. Just a few drops of vanilla essential oil in a diffuser or a massage oil can provide a sensual and exotic feeling. A fragrant vanilla bath can be relaxing, revitalizing, or even aphrodisiac.
In the bath: Using essential oils in the bathtub is an extremely effective way to influence our mood. Add the essential oils to a spoonful or two of soap solution and add it to the bathwater just before you get in—otherwise, the oils will evaporate before you have the chance to enjoy them or benefit from inhalation and absorption through the lungs. Dosage: Up to 10 drops in 10 ml (2 teaspoons) of oil or soap solution, or directly into the water. Be cautious when using oils in the bath as some can cause stinging. Lemon, orange, grapefruit, anise, camphor, clove, eucalyptus, ginger, juniper, black pepper, mint, sage, savory, peppermint, and thyme should be used in very small doses—not more than 2 drops in a bath. Alternatively, you can apply a combination of oils for a body massage and then sit in a warm bath for a while.
Foot baths: A foot bath is useful when someone is immobile or too sensitive for other methods. It is an extremely effective stress reliever and tonic at the end of a difficult day. Dosage: Use 4 drops in a basin of warm water, soaking your feet for about 20 minutes.
Body massage: Dosage: Up to 6 drops in 10-15 ml (2-3 teaspoons) of base oil or lotion.
Facial massage: The skin on the face requires special care, as it tends to be more sensitive than other parts of the body, shows more signs of stress and toxic overload, and is generally more exposed to air, sun, and pollutants. For facial massage, choose the appropriate base oil and use a lower dose of essential oil than for body massage. Since the face is a small area, 5 ml of the total blend is usually sufficient. Dosage: 1-3%, or 1-3 drops in 5 ml (1 teaspoon) of base oil (use even higher dilution for very sensitive skin).
Localized massage: It can be applied to small areas, for example, joint stiffness, sprains, and cramps (e.g., stomach or menstrual pains). Since localized massage usually requires rapid action, the dilution used is often lower than for the body or face, but always ensure you use a safe dose. Dosage: 5%, or 10 drops, in 5 ml (1 teaspoon) of base oil. Make sure not to exceed the maximum safe dose.
Room fragrance: Essential oils can be diffused in the air through dry heat, steam, or with the help of a fan. This is an effective way to change your mood, cleanse and refresh the atmosphere of your space, or benefit from the properties of essential oils through the respiratory system. Use special devices, essential oil burners by adding water to the surface and a tea light candle at the base, or drop a few drops on your fireplace logs or candles to cleanse the atmosphere from cigarette smoke and beautifully scent your space according to your mood.
Spraying: Fill a plant spray bottle with water. For every 300 ml, add 8-10 drops of essential oil. Shake the bottle well before each use, as the oils do not dissolve in water. Use it as an air freshener or insecticide using appropriate oils. Avoid spraying near the eyes as this may cause irritation. Do not spray on painted surfaces, as the oils may stain the paint.
