Essential oils are the distillates of various herbs, characterized by their strong aroma. Essential oils can be used for both external use and ingestion (some essential oils that are not edible due to their properties are indicated as such in the description of each essential oil). Essential oils must be placed in a carrier (in a vegetable oil) for skin application, while for edible use, we add 2-3 drops (of those essential oils that can be ingested!) to a little water, juice, milk, or coffee.
Carrier oils, or vegetable oils, are extracts from various herbs, most of which do not have a strong aroma! They are all produced using the cold-pressing method, ensuring excellent results based on the quality characteristics that this method imparts to the vegetable oils, and also to make them suitable for consumption, allowing us to address internal ailments that may arise!
Carrier oils can be used alone for skin application, and if desired, we can enhance their properties with other vegetable oils or essential oils that share a common purpose in addressing a specific issue, making our results significantly stronger. For edible use, we can take carrier oils in a dosage of a tablespoon of the respective vegetable oil, which we can consume either on its own or mix into a little water, juice, milk, or coffee.
Essential oils are the distillates of various herbs, characterized by their strong aroma. On the other hand, carrier oils, or vegetable oils, are the extracts of different herbs, most of which do not have a strong scent! Both essential oils and carrier oils can be used for external and edible purposes. However, essential oils must be mixed with a carrier oil for topical use, while for edible use, we add 2-3 drops (of those essential oils that are safe for ingestion!) to a bit of water, juice, milk, or coffee. Tinctures are derived from soaking a specific herb in an alcoholic solution (such as grape brandy) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the herb dissolve into the alcoholic solution, resulting in the tincture. Tinctures can be consumed in any medium we prefer (we can add them to water, juice, milk, coffee, or anything else we like!) and we consume 10 drops(or 40 drops if we have any tincture blend) 2-3 times a day. Minors can also take tinctures but in smaller dosages. For more information, feel free to contact us!

Our creams can be safely used on both the face and the body! The plant-based ingredients they contain meet the needs of the face, but if desired, they can also be used on the body, which doesn't have as many needs as the face! For the body, you can use the body lotions, which are cheaper and provide an excellent result with your choice of fragrance (as face creams cannot contain fragrances in such intensity since they are applied to the face!).
Our beeswax ointments can be safely used on both the face and the body! In our collection of ointments, you will find many that specialize in conditions that can occur on both the face and the body (e.g., the elimination of blemishes that appear on both the body and the face). Additionally, you will see ointments that are used only on the body, as there is no reason to use them on the face (e.g., cellulite ointment).
Creams have a plant emulsifier as their main ingredient, while beeswax ointments have beeswax as their main ingredient. In terms of texture, classic beeswax ointments are "hard," however, our new innovative formula of beeswax ointments (found in our new series with airless packaging) is soft and creamy, resembling a cream product, and contains absolutely no added chemicals!
Generally, glass bottles are better than plastic ones because they do not leave residues. However, the bottles used for our base oils and floral waters are pharmaceutical PET, which does not leave residues in the products and also protects them from sunlight, ensuring that the product remains unaltered inside and suitable for edible use!
Initially, each product contains a preparation method within its description. However, the general rule is that the correct way to prepare an herbal beverage varies depending on the herb. Herbs are divided into above-ground and below-ground parts, meaning leaves, flowers, and twigs are above-ground, while roots are below-ground. The "hard" parts, such as roots and some fruits, should be boiled with water for 5-10 minutes, and these are called infusions. All other parts, which constitute the majority of herbs, are steeped in already boiling water (the water is boiled separately, removed from heat, and then the herb is added) and are referred to as decoctions.
Of course, herbs can be combined, either to create a more flavorful beverage or to enhance certain properties for a specific condition we wish to address, which is in no way dangerous. When combining herbs that belong to some infusions and others to decoctions, we first boil the decoctions (roots and some fruits) with the water for 5-10 minutes. After removing the pot from the heat, without straining the herbs already inside, we then add all the herbs that belong to the infusions (leaves, flowers, and generally above-ground parts of herbs) to let them steep together for another 5-10 minutes. Afterwards, we strain everything together and enjoy our beverage.
Initially, each product includes a preparation method within its description. However, the general rule is that for each beverage, we use 2-3 grams of herb. Since not every household has a precision scale, the 2-3 grams of herb can be expressed as "a pinch" (what we can grab with the tips of our fingers) for herbs that are heterogeneous, or as a heaping teaspoon for herbs that are powdered and can be measured this way. The mentioned quantities are for one cup of beverage. If we want to make 1 liter of beverage, which corresponds to 4 cups, then we multiply the above amounts by 4!
Since it will be in the same amount of water, do we reduce the recommended dosages when using more than one herb?
No, we do not reduce the dosages provided in the product description even if we make a combination of herbs. This is to achieve either a more intense flavor and a more enjoyable beverage or to enhance some of the properties of the herbs we've included. Therefore, the general rule applies: for each beverage, we use 2-3 grams from each herb. Since not every household has a precision scale, the 2-3 grams of herb can be expressed as "a pinch" (what we can grab with the tips of our fingers) for herbs that are heterogeneous, or as a heaping teaspoon for herbs that are powdered and can be measured this way. For example, to prepare 3 cups of a beverage containing 3 different herbs, we would use 2-3 grams from each for every cup. So for 3 cups, that would be 9 grams from each herb for the total beverage we want to prepare in this case.
Beverages should be consumed within 24 hours after preparation, as they lose their effectiveness over time, and you would just be drinking flavored water! It is perfectly fine to drink a beverage cold, as long as it is within 24 hours from the time it was prepared. So, in the summer, when we prefer not to consume hot beverages, we can prepare our drink, cool it down either by adding ice cubes or by placing it in the refrigerator, and enjoy a refreshing beverage while still getting all its properties!
The correct answer is only once. If we try to prepare a second beverage using the same quantity of herb or a mixture of herbs, we will find that the taste is more "diluted," and we won't enjoy our beverage. More importantly, reusing the herb will release toxins into our drink that can have negative effects on the human body.
If we consume a herb systematically every day without breaks and are consistent in our intake, then after 30-40 days, we should take a break for 7-10 days. This break isn't necessary due to any problems; it's simply to prevent our body from getting accustomed to the herb, which would diminish its effectiveness, and we might not see the beneficial properties for which we were using it. Otherwise, there are no issues at all. However, some herbs can cause serious problems if not used correctly. For this reason, even though some have beneficial properties, you won't find them in our store, such as scordiodendron or snake herb, etc.!
Our company is a third-generation business, established in 1975, and we manufacture most of the products you see at our facilities in Veria. All our products are made with the highest quality in mind, which is why we prepare all our products using fresh herbs (essential oils, tinctures, carrier oils, etc.), something no other company can do. We have vertical integration, meaning we cultivate and harvest our own herbs, process them to create our oils, tinctures, and floral waters, and use these to make our creams, soaps, salves, and cosmetic products! We are involved from the primary sector to the final product, allowing us to maintain constant control over the quality of our products.
This is why our essential oils are produced through steam distillation using fresh herbs. Although this method yields a smaller quantity of essential oil, the result is a top-quality essential oil. Our carrier oils and tinctures are made with fresh herbs (and through cold pressing), allowing them to be up to three times more potent than commercial products, which cannot use fresh herbs! By using our carrier oils and essential oils in our creams, soaps, salves, and other care products, we ensure enhanced action and effectiveness.
The herbs available in our store do not interact with pharmaceutical preparations, and the same applies to all our products made from our herbs. For any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!
