Stellaria is an herb traditionally used for skin infections, eczema, psoriasis, scrapes, wounds, and itching. It serves as an excellent tonic with anti-inflammatory properties and is diuretic, laxative, and beneficial for asthma, bronchitis, circulation issues, as well as rheumatism and arthritis. It is also a good source of iron, magnesium, and vitamins A, B1, B2, and C.
Stellaria contains vitamins A, C, magnesium, triterpenoid saponins, coumarins, flavonoids, omega-6 fatty acids, carboxylic acids, calcium, selenium, and silica, and has a high content of iron, zinc, and potassium.
The herb is considered astringent, emollient, diuretic, expectorant, laxative, and healing. It effectively relieves itching and irritation caused by eczema and psoriasis. It has healing properties, particularly for open external wounds and injuries, and possesses unique soothing abilities, softening and relieving distressed skin.
Internally, it can be used to treat chest ailments, lung issues, cough, colds, bronchitis, and similar conditions. It is also regarded as an excellent herb for cleansing the digestive system, alleviating constipation, and in small amounts, it aids digestion.

Preparation:
1 tablespoon of crushed stellaria (or a small pinch of uncrushed) is steeped in 1 cup of boiling water in a covered container, left for 10-15 minutes, and strained before use.
