The use of clay for therapeutic purposes dates back to ancient times. We know that the Ancient Egyptians, Australian Aborigines, Native Americans, Indians, Chinese, and even the Ancient Greeks and Romans used clay for healing reasons.

Depending on its origin and composition, clay appears in various shades. Pink Clay (Pink Argiletz Clay or Rose Clay) is a combination of white and red clay, rich in minerals such as silicon, iron, and sodium.

Clay has been known since antiquity for its cleansing properties. Thanks to its rich detoxifying and antibacterial qualities, it effectively removes all kinds of microorganisms that penetrate the skin's pores. By systematically removing all forms of pollutants and oxidizing molecules from the skin, we reduce the chances of premature cellular deterioration, absorbing everything that accumulates on the surface, which contributes to the dull, lifeless appearance of the skin.

Today, Pink Clay is considered ideal for the care of sensitive and irritable skin, especially that which often shows allergies or reactions to environmental conditions. Its main purpose is to care for hypersensitive and fatigued or "dull" skin. It restores the natural pH, strengthens, and rejuvenates skin that suffers from environmental pollution.

Ideal for dry and sensitive skin types, Pink Clay is a key skincare ingredient for those looking to reduce irritation and skin inflammation, including acne. It is rich in silicon, which can help improve skin elasticity and cell renewal. Gentle exfoliation and light on the skin, Pink Clay leaves the skin soft and elastic. Additionally, it may help minimize pores.

Pink Clay can be particularly active and may cause localized "redness" after application—this is a temporary "reaction" of the skin to its active ingredients (and always within the context of treatment). It is recommended to be applied before sleep, allowing the skin time for "recovery." It is usually used in the form of a "beauty mask" (alone or in combination with essential oils).

Detoxifying Cleansing Mask for the Face:

• 1 tablespoon clay
• 1 teaspoon rose water
• 2 drops chamomile essential oil

Apply to the face and leave for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove with lukewarm water. A few minutes after application, the clay will dry.

Apply your chosen mask twice a week. Ideally, using a brush, leave it on for 5 to 20 minutes and remove it with plenty of water.

Various hydrosols, oils, and essential oils can also be added to mask preparations.

If you are making soaps, Pink Clay will impart unique properties to your creations and give a completely natural soft pink color to your soaps.
