Seaweed Oil, like all our carrier oils, is made with extra virgin olive oil processed with our fresh herbs. Research has shown that when carrier oils are made with fresh herbs (like ours), they deliver 100% of their potential properties, unlike commercial oils made with dried herbs that yield only about 50%!

The therapeutic and cosmetic properties of seaweed have been known for thousands of years. In ancient Polynesia, for example, the healing properties of seaweed were recognized and used for treating wounds, cuts, and swellings.

Fucus Vesiculosus seaweed contains significant amounts of trace minerals, fatty acids, and antioxidants. For this reason, seaweed oil has many applications in modern cosmetology. Studies have shown that seaweed oil combats the enzymes responsible for collagen destruction in the skin (anti-collagenase properties) while simultaneously boosting elastin production.

Seaweed Oil can be used on all skin types. It serves as an anti-aging ingredient that keeps the skin youthful and "fresh." Due to its antibacterial properties (containing algal carotenoids and polyphenols), seaweed extract is often used in acne and severe skin condition products (eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, etc.). Seaweed oil is widely used to combat cellulite and localized fat, as its high iodine content appears to have beneficial effects in these cases.
