Organic Cocoa Butter is derived from the processing of the seeds of the Theobroma cacao plant, known in Greece as the cocoa tree. Historical evidence indicates that cocoa seeds have been used since 1900 BC, and the name comes from the word cacahuatl, which the Aztecs used to describe the plant. Cocoa Butter began to be used in 1828 when Dutchman Casparus van Houten invented a hydraulic press for extracting the butter from roasted seeds. Today, Cocoa Butter is used in both chocolate manufacturing and the production of cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.
Organic Cocoa Butter is known for its antioxidant properties, containing Vitamin E. It is particularly recognized for its effectiveness in addressing stretch marks, scars, skin discoloration, dark circles under the eyes, and wrinkles, thanks to its high content of Vitamin K (7 mcg per 28g), which provides strong "healing" properties. It is ideal for dry, damaged, and "aging" skin, as it has intense moisturizing action. This is due to its composition of 100% plant fats, with no proteins or carbohydrates. It softens the skin and improves its elasticity.
Organic Cocoa Butter is "solid" at room temperature. However, it "melts" immediately upon contact with the skin, providing deep and effective hydration right away. When used in soap making, Cocoa Butter is an excellent product (even with just a 5% inclusion) that produces a rich lather and "hardens" the soap bar.
The Organic Cocoa Butter offered by Herbstore.gr is 100% pure and contains no chemicals. It has a wonderful "chocolate" aroma and is delivered in a transparent plastic bag.
