The Raspberry tincture is made from soaking the raspberry fruit in an alcoholic solution (grappa) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients dissolve into the alcoholic solution, resulting in the tincture.
Raspberry (Rubus idaeus) is a perennial plant with small, juicy red fruits. It originates from Europe and northern Asia. Today, it is cultivated in many temperate regions, as its demand has surged in recent years due to its high nutritional value.
Raspberry is an ideal supplement for a healthy diet with few calories. It contains antioxidant compounds called ketones, which increase the production of the hormone adiponectin, linked to metabolic function and fat burning. Adiponectin also plays a crucial role in regulating cholesterol and blood glucose levels, helping to remove fatty deposits from blood vessels.
This fruit has one of the highest fiber contents (up to 20%). Dietary fibers increase food volume and slow digestion, which is why nutritionists recommend consuming fiber-rich foods. Additionally, it is a rich source of vitamin C, providing 30 mg per cup (approximately 50% of the daily vitamin C requirement). It also contains vitamin B, folic acid, catechins, quercetin, magnesium, copper, iron, and anthocyanins, known for their antioxidant properties.
Raspberries have a low glycemic index, like all berries, leading to a quick feeling of fullness and better regulation of blood sugar and lipid levels. Scientific studies have repeatedly shown that individuals consuming low-glycemic foods lose more weight than those consuming high-glycemic foods. This fruit contributes to maintaining a healthy weight and good gastrointestinal health.
Tinctures retain all the active ingredients of the herb, are particularly easy to take, and are completely natural. They undoubtedly have advantages over dietary supplements in pill form, as they do not contain chemicals or preservatives and are absorbed much more effectively by the body.
Herbal tinctures are very potent, and for this reason, they should be consumed according to the provided instructions. The usual dosage is 0.5-1ml (approximately 10-20 drops per day). They should not be consumed during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
