The Flaxseed tincture is derived from the immersion of flaxseeds in an alcoholic solution (grappa) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the seeds dissolve into the alcoholic solution, resulting in the creation of the tincture.
In modern herbal therapy, the primary uses as identified by practitioners are:
- Acts against bad cholesterol and triglycerides.
- Relieves asthma.
- Stimulates mental function.
- Used in the treatment of acne and herpes (as a poultice).
- Helpful for kidney stones.
- Alleviates menstrual pain and symptoms of menopause.
- Treats cough (in combination with mallow, lemon, and honey).
- Effective against headaches.
- Useful for constipation.
- Facilitates the passage of gallstones.
- Stimulates breathing and improves digestion.
The tinctures retain all the active ingredients of the herb, are particularly simple to take, and are completely natural. They undoubtedly surpass dietary supplements in pill form, as they do not contain chemicals or preservatives and are absorbed much more effectively by the body.
Herbal tinctures are very potent, and for this reason, they should be consumed according to their instructions. The usual dosage is 0.5-1ml (approximately 10-20 drops per day). They should not be consumed during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The Flaxseed tincture is prepared in Greece under the strictest European standards, using only pure and verified raw materials.
