The Willow tincture is obtained by immersing the aerial parts of the willow in an alcoholic solution (grape brandy) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the herb dissolve into the alcoholic solution, resulting in the creation of the tincture.
Willow and the substances contained in its bark comprise the most well-known component of aspirin. The willow tincture has antipyretic properties because it contains acetylsalicylic acid (salicylic acid). This component is known for its use in aspirin and generally in the pharmaceutical industry. The willow tincture has anti-inflammatory action and effectively reduces fever and colds. Additionally, the willow tincture soothes muscle pain and joint pain. It can also be used preventively to protect the body from flu and colds and can be combined with echinacea tincture, which also acts antibiotic!
The tinctures retain all the active ingredients of the herb, are particularly easy to take, and are completely natural. They undoubtedly have advantages over dietary supplements in pill form, as they do not contain chemicals or preservatives and are absorbed much more effectively by the body.
Herbal tinctures are very potent, and for this reason, they should be consumed according to the instructions. The usual dosage is 0.5-1ml (approximately 10-20 drops per day). They should not be consumed during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The Willow tincture is prepared in Greece under the strictest European standards and with the exclusive use of pure and controlled raw materials.
