The Devil's Claw tincture is made by soaking the leaves and flowers of the Devil's Claw in an alcoholic solution (grappa) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients from the herbs dissolve into the alcoholic solution, resulting in the tincture.
The tincture of Devil's Claw (Harpagophytum Procumbens) contains the same active ingredients as the dried herb. In modern herbal medicine, Devil's Claw is primarily used for the treatment of arthritis and myalgia. Numerous clinical studies have been conducted on the properties of Devil's Claw. Research at the University of Jena in Germany (1958-1976) found that Devil's Claw has strong anti-inflammatory properties comparable to those of cortisone and the component phenylbutazone, which is used as an analgesic in medications for musculoskeletal pain (arthritis, tendinitis, back pain, etc.). The main substances in Devil's Claw responsible for its effectiveness are harpagoside and β-sitosterol.
Benefits:
- Maintains all active ingredients of the herb
- Simple and completely natural
- Superior to dietary supplements in pill form as it contains no chemicals or preservatives
- Absorbed more effectively by the body
Dosage: Herbal tinctures are very potent, so they should be consumed according to their instructions. The usual dosage is 0.5-1ml (approximately 10-20 drops per day). They should not be consumed during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
