(The price includes VAT.)
The Wormwood tincture is derived from soaking wormwood in an alcoholic solution (grappa) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the herb dissolve into the alcoholic solution, resulting in the tincture.
The Wormwood tincture (Artemisia absinthium) contains the same active components as the dried wormwood herb. In modern herbal medicine, wormwood is primarily used in two cases. The first concerns the normalization of menstruation. In this case, it is believed to help as a menstrual regulator (inducing bleeding when a normal period has not occurred) and in the treatment of menorrhagia (excessive bleeding). Artemisia is also used as a digestive tonic. It is thought to facilitate the digestion of fatty substances, which is why it is classified among the "weight-loss herbs." Additionally, it is believed to increase bile production, activate the digestive system, and alleviate dyspepsia, heartburn, and bloating.
Tinctures retain all the active ingredients of the herb, are particularly easy to take, and are completely natural. They undoubtedly have advantages over dietary supplements in pill form, as they do not contain chemicals or preservatives and are absorbed much more effectively by the body.
Herbal tinctures are very potent, and for this reason, they should be consumed according to the provided instructions. The usual dosage is 0.5-1ml (approximately 10-20 drops per day). They should not be consumed during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The Wormwood tincture is prepared in Greece under the strictest European standards, using exclusively pure and tested raw materials.
