The Horse Chestnut tincture is derived from the immersion of the above-ground parts of the horse chestnut tree in an alcoholic solution (grappa) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the plant dissolve into the alcoholic solution, resulting in the creation of the tincture.
The Horse Chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) is a large deciduous tree with serrated leaves and white-pink flowers shaped like pyramids, primarily found in the Balkans. Its bark contains various substances, such as aescin, coumarin, and vitamin P, which have therapeutic properties. Vitamin P strengthens capillary vessels, aids blood circulation, soothes pain caused by hemorrhoids, treats varicose veins, and helps relieve symptoms related to venous insufficiency. The fruit of the horse chestnut contains tannins, aescin, fraxin, and starch. It helps improve the function of the circulatory system, resulting in better management of phlebitis, hemorrhoids, varicose veins, and other issues related to venous insufficiency and poor blood circulation.
The tinctures retain all the active ingredients of the herb, are particularly easy to take, and are completely natural. They undoubtedly surpass dietary supplements in pill form, as they do not contain chemicals or preservatives and are absorbed much more effectively by the body.
Herbal tinctures are very potent, and for this reason, they should be consumed according to the instructions. The usual dosage is 0.5-1ml (approximately 10-20 drops) per day. They should not be consumed during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The Horse Chestnut tincture is prepared in Greece under the strictest European standards, using only pure and verified raw materials.
