The Agrimony Tincture is made by soaking agrimony in an alcoholic solution (grappa) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the herb dissolve into the alcoholic solution, resulting in the tincture.
The Agrimony Tincture (Agrimonia Eupatoria) contains the same active ingredients as the dried herb Agrimony. It is primarily used as a tonic for the digestive system and is considered a healing plant for wounds and ailments. It is particularly effective for ulcers, colic, and diarrhea. The tannins it contains, along with photosterin and gum, provide diuretic, astringent, and anti-inflammatory properties. In folk medicine, agrimony has been used to heal open wounds, insect bites, snake bites, and to dissolve abscesses.
Herbal tinctures retain all the active ingredients of the herb, are particularly easy to take, and are completely natural. They undoubtedly have advantages over dietary supplements in pill form, as they do not contain chemicals or preservatives and are absorbed much more effectively by the body.
Herbal tinctures are very potent, and for this reason, they should be consumed according to the provided instructions. The usual dosage is 0.5-1ml (approximately 10-20 drops) per day. They should not be consumed during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
The Agrimony Tincture is prepared in Greece under the strictest European standards, using exclusively pure and tested raw materials.
