Arnica Oil BIO that you will find at Herbstore.gr is 100% pure and processed with green arnica, while in the above mentioned packages it is very practical as well as very economical. 

Arnica OilBIO, like all the base oils we have in our collection, is made with extra virgin olive oil which is processed with our herbs, which are in green form. Research has shown that when base oils are made with green herbs (like ours) they give 100% of the properties they can give, unlike commercial oils made with dried herbs and give only 50%! 

Arnica Oil BIO is obtained from the processing of the plant Arnica montana. It is a plant endemic to Europe which stands out for its large yellow flowers. As a medicinal plant it has a long history in Europe. References to the healing properties of Arnica are made by almost all modern botanists (Matthiolus, Gesner, Clusius, etc.), while the famous German philosopher Goethe claimed to have saved his life. 

Arnica is currently used for the external treatment of the musculoskeletal system. It is considered to be suitable for the treatment of wounds and swellings and for the relief of pain. You will find Arnica Oil in many cosmetic products for the care of abrasions, bruises, swellings, treatment of muscle aches, pain from rheumatism etc.

Arnica is an ancient medicinal plant. Arnica contains sesquiterpene lactones, substances that are known to reduce inflammation and relieve pain, while Arnica Oil also facilitates blood circulation. 

Application in cosmetics: Arnica Oil is popular in massage oils as it offers muscle relaxation thanks to its properties in the circulatory system of the body and for this reason it is especially popular with athletes. Its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect can have benefits for those suffering from inflammatory skin diseases. It is used as a topical treatment for burns, eczema and acne. However, it should not be applied to an open wound, as it could cause painful irritation.

A 2002 study by Knuesel O, Weber M, Suter A in Switzerland (Valens Clinic for Rheumatism) showed that using a 50% Arnica Gel had about the same results as using a 5% ibuprofen Gel in relieving from osteoarthritis.

Arnica Oil BIO is used either alone or in combination with other base oils for even better results. Finally, it is important to know that base oils are essential in aromatherapy in order to be the "carrier" to which the essential oils will be added.
