The essential oil of Orange (Citrus Sinensis) is obtained from the cold pressing of the peel and has a fruity, sweet aroma with high aromatic notes. It is known for its high nutritional value, being rich in vitamins C and A, sugars, potassium, calcium, and phosphorus.

Orange essential oil is used in aromatherapy to combat anxiety, depression, nervousness, insomnia, and other conditions related to the functioning of the nervous system. Its vibrant and sweet aroma revitalizes a tired body and alleviates excess tension. It is considered antipyretic, antispasmodic, cardiotonic, and a stimulant for the lymphatic and digestive systems. It helps reduce water retention, supports bowel function, and aids in relieving constipation. It has antiseptic and bacteriostatic properties and can be applied topically to areas of the skin that require disinfection. It contributes to collagen production in the skin, protects blood vessels, and helps in reducing spots and discoloration.

The essential oil of Orange is perhaps the best alternative for combating crawling insects compared to toxic chemical repellents. It is ideal for kitchens and other areas of the home where ants appear. A few drops of essential oil are sufficient to address the problem in a natural and safe way. Finally, it can be used in drinks (at a concentration of 0.10%), in sweets (at a concentration of 0.30%), and in cosmetics (at a concentration of 1%).

When mixed with rose water (50 drops of oil in 200ml of rose water), Orange essential oil makes an excellent toning facial lotion, and when blended with almond oil in the same ratio, it can be used as a moisturizing body oil after bathing.

Orange essential oil combines well with: Lavender, Lemon, St. John's Wort, Lemon Balm, Rosemary, and Sage.
