Bitter Almond Essential Oil is derived from the bitter fruits of the almond tree Amygdalus communis, which belongs to the Rosaceae family.

This essential oil has calming and tonic properties. It is used for chronic insomnia and as a cardiac tonic. It possesses strong antispasmodic properties and is recommended for foot and underarm odor. Additionally, it has bactericidal, antipyretic, laxative, and diuretic effects, and anticancer properties have also been noted. Its main components include benzaldehyde, amygdalin, and other unsaturated fatty acids. An emulsion containing this essential oil helps with respiratory conditions and dysmenorrhea. It can be used in beverages (at a rate of 0.10%), in sweets (at a rate of 0.30%), and in cosmetics (at a rate of 1%).

Bitter Almond Essential Oil blends well with: Lavender, Organic Lavender, Lavandin, St. John’s Wort, Melissa, Chamomile, Roman Chamomile, Mint, Organic Mint, Pine, Organic Swiss Pine, Tea Tree, Organic Tea Tree, Ginger, Lemon, Organic Lemon, Orange, Organic Orange, Organic Oregano, and Oregano.
