Pine (Pinus Sylvestris) is derived from the plant commonly known as Pinus Sylvestris. The essential oil of Pine is obtained through steam distillation of the leaves and needles, yielding a fresh, clean, and woody aroma.

Pine essential oil is used in aromatherapy as a brain revitalizer, relaxant, antimicrobial, tonic for the nervous system, antineuralgic, antiseptic for the urinary system, expectorant, bactericidal, and insect repellent. It is recommended for cough, bronchitis, flu, sinusitis, cystitis, respiratory infections, muscular pain, nervous exhaustion, irritability, gallstones, joint pain, back pain, rheumatism, asthma, and insomnia.

Pine essential oil combines well with: Eucalyptus, St. John's Wort, Orange, Lemon, Oregano, Laurel, Citronella, Sage, Cypress, Rosemary, Tea Tree, and Mint.
