Fennel (Foeniculum Vulgare) is the common name for this plant. The essential oil of Fennel is extracted from its seeds and has an earthy, spicy aroma.

Fennel essential oil is used in aromatherapy for rheumatism, arthritis, bronchitis, as a nerve tonic, and for stress reduction.
