Arnica, scientifically known as Arnica montana, is a perennial plant, reaching heights of 15-60cm, with beautiful yellow flowers that have an orange halo. It is native to Europe—from the Iberian Peninsula to southern Scandinavia— as well as Siberia and the Carpathians, thriving at altitudes of 1000m with a strong and pleasant aroma. Its name derives from the ancient Greek word "αρνακίς," meaning lambskin, due to the soft-haired texture of the sepals surrounding the flower.

The essential oil of Arnica from Herbstore.gr is a 100% pure essential oil that requires dilution in an oil or cream (maximum 10% concentration; 10% Arnica essential oil in every 100ml of oil or cream) as it is considered very potent. It is particularly effective in alleviating joint and muscle pain. It is primarily used to relieve bruises and hematomas—when applied topically, it significantly reduces bruising—while also helping with contusions, sprains, and swellings from strains.
