Caustic soda (Sodium Hydroxide) is a white crystalline substance used for making soap through the "cold" method. It is an essential ingredient in this soap-making process.

Using caustic soda requires special care, as it produces a strong exothermic reaction when dissolved in water. Protective gear (goggles, chemical-resistant gloves, and special clothing) is necessary, and it should be handled exclusively in well-ventilated areas. Failure to comply with these safety measures may result in severe burns, vision problems, and respiratory issues.

At Herbstore.gr, we advise against using caustic soda for soap-making without proper training. Our caustic soda is of high quality, suitable for soap production, and comes in granular form (not powdered, which is of much lower quality). It is guaranteed to be at least 99.9% pure. Store in an airtight container after purchase.
