ackaging: 50ml containing Goldenrod Tincture (Solidago Virgaurea).
(The price includes VAT.)
The Goldenrod tincture is made by soaking the leaves and flowers of the Goldenrod in an alcoholic solution (grappa) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients dissolve into the alcoholic solution, resulting in the tincture.
The Goldenrod tincture (Solidago Virgaurea) contains the same active ingredients as the dried herb. In modern herbal medicine, Goldenrod is considered a safe herb for various diseases. Herbalists appreciate its properties as an anti-catarrhal, antifungal, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, diaphoretic, mild diuretic, antipyretic, and tonic. Its ability to act as a mild diuretic, facilitating water loss from the body without disrupting electrolytes, makes it an excellent herb for treating urinary tract inflammations and preventing or eliminating kidney stones. Additionally, it is believed to alleviate back pain associated with these conditions.
Laboratory studies have shown that Goldenrod helps reduce inflammation, relieve muscle pain, lower blood pressure, and has antioxidant properties. Its astringent properties make it useful as a hemostatic in bleeding wounds. The erythrin it contains acts against capillary bleeding, while phenolic glycosides provide anti-inflammatory effects. Its healing action is valuable when taken internally for urinary infections, chronic catarrh, skin diseases, flu, persistent cough, and bladder and kidney stones. Topically, poultices of Goldenrod aid wound healing and relieve skin conditions such as eczema. It is considered one of the best herbs for upper respiratory tract catarrh, whether acute or chronic, and can be used in combination with other herbs for flu treatment. Its diaphoretic properties make it valuable for treating flatulent dyspepsia. Due to its mild action, Goldenrod is also used in cases of gastroenteritis in children. The saponins it contains have antifungal action and combat fungi responsible for oral aphthae. It is beneficial for mouth rinses in cases of aphthae or stomatitis, as well as in laryngitis or pharyngitis.
