Ylang-Ylang BIO or Kanaka is the common name of the plant Cananga Odorata. Ylang-Ylang I essential oil comes from the distillation of its flowers and has an exotic, sweet, floral aroma. Ylang-Ylang I is an essential oil that is distilled immediately after Ylang-Ylang Extra and is of superior quality to ordinary Ylang-Ylang. In addition Ylang-Ylang I is produced from an exceptional variety originating in the Comoros.
Ylang-Ylang essential oil BIO is considered as a top aphrodisiac, brings fiery passion and relieves inhibitions, helps improve mood, reduce stress, is relaxing and lowers blood pressure. It is also used as an antidepressant, antiseptic, cures anger and phobias, especially useful for the care of oily skin, for the treatment of sexual coldness and impotence, brings optimism and self-confidence.
Regarding the use of Ylang-Ylang essential oil BIO in the medical field, some of its applications have been observed over time. The local Filipinos put the flowers of Ylang-Ylang in coconut oil and thus obtain an excellent oil for the skin, which works against both fever and infections. Among others are malaria, typhoid fever and other infections that have been identified. Due to the body serotonin, Ylang-Ylang essential oil is effective in relieving chronic pain or tumor pain, as an antispasmodic and sedative. In addition, Ylang-Ylang essential oil acts as a potent medicine for the heart, dilating the arteries in hypertension. It also acts against tachycardia and arrhythmias. Its positive effect against diabetes is also being investigated.
Ylang-Ylang essential oil BIO is used by aromatherapy as an air freshener to treat depression and bad mood, as it stimulates the secretion of endorphins that improve mood. The aroma of Ylang-Ylang essential oil is supposed to have positive effects on sensuality and beauty. It is also said to be aphrodisiac, however for men it is recommended to add woody notes.
Ylang-Ylang essential oil BIO is very well combined with: Jasmine, Bergamot, Rose, Cinnamon, Ginger, Mandarin, Orange, Strawberry, Eucalyptus&Lemon Balm.
